Fund Raising
We are raising funds to campaign against the proposed windfarm development of 21 wind turbines with a maximum blade tip height of 180m and a battery storage system on our beautiful moorland landscape.
Cubico Sustainable Investments plan to build a 21 turbine windfarm comprising 180 metre high turbines along side the world famous Rooley Moor (Cotton Famine) Road and in plain sight of the Catley Lane Head and Prickshaw & Broadley Fold Conservation Areas. This development if it were to go ahead would severely impacted the environment, views, amenity and enjoyment of the area.
Our community is concerned about both the environmental and economic aspects of the current proposals upon our fragile way of life. We need help to fundraise to amplify our voice, raise awareness of the issues and help to engage with the backers of the current plans, which includes National Government Policy our MPs and Councillors.
Say No To Scout Moor 2 has come together to work on behalf of the Community in gathering information and to oppose the scope and scale of the current proposals. We want to provide a voice for the community with the aim of protecting the economy, environment and landscape for future generations.
Rooley Moor Neighbourhood Forum consider the Cubico proposal to conflict with its charitable objectives and has offered to act as banker and to ring fence funds raised for our campaign.
Please help us fight this aggressive development by clicking HERE which will take you to The Rooley Moor Neighbourhood Forum website where there are several methods to make a donation.
