Friends of the Moorland were interviewed by the BBC’s environment correspondent Richard Stead on Friday 4th July 2025 about the impact of Scout Moor 2. He was interviewing for articles to appear on the BBC website, on radio and TV! He wanted to know about how Scout Moor 2 will impact users of the moor and in particular get a better understanding of the less tangible, but still very real, emotional impacts on regular users. All in he spent nearly three hours with us and this included a walk up to Top of Pike carry heavy camera gear (many thanks to camera man Rob). Richard seemed very impressed and gave us every opportunity to make our case. Let’s see what it comes out like!
